Stay With What You Are

Contributed by sorryiforgot2smile on Tuesday, 14th December 2004 @ 08:25:41 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

breathing intoxication with every dull gasp, longing for truth in silence in moments where all hope is lost. Counting the seconds for a newyear, filled with new fears and new tears while I exhude confidence in pseudo-conformity to mask the drowning in these cold days. Where my security blanket has been torn to bits by those who are sworn to secrecy, while I'm secretely exceeding all of your expectations. When My moods sway with that of the radiostation who knows what will come next? Eyes burning holes through me from all-knowing all-seeing all-loathing bodies which time has escaped. Still beautiful, just not on the inside they are practiced in the art of prophecizing what will become for my tired weak and weary heart of all hearts. Luminescent they shine, I mourn their futul existence by wearing spf 45 and turning my head thinking "you will never know what it is to be me." So while you are caught up in the latest new thing, I will still be groovin' to the oldies, disecting your stone-washed jeans and birkenstock sandals which prooved all too neo-fashcist for your new scene. Which is now as insecure as the last yet your still certain that their is strength in numbers. They will become the red-white-blue collared americans working 9 to 5 only to drive home in their Volvo's to their blonde haired blue eyed arian offspring which live in the gallows which you stood to fight for not all too long ago. I will still be wallowing in my own self-righteous inadequacy but when the organ finally plays my tune I will rest comfortably knowing that I never had to be you.

Cool poem, though my only suggestion is to break up the lines with some comas...just to hard to read otherwise....and you run the risk of readers skipping lines and losing the plot or the storyline, though only suggestion.
Still I read it slow and found it quite intense...abit like life castly intriguing,, liked your words ,this rocked...keep em coming.
