3am

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

3am
I walk home on these barren streets
There’s not even a car,
Driving slowly behind me,
Trying to determine my age.
It’s thirteen,
Sorry,
Not old enough.

It’s 3am and I walk
This silence is scary
But how much more will it be with head phones
Blasting guitar riffs
And whiny twenty five years olds
Singing about how their lives suck.
Not much more.
Maybe no more.

Its 3am and my heart is pounding.
My brain can’t comprehend
What my body knows.
My thoughts are scary
Drifting from paradise
To suicide
But I won’t do it.
I was always to afraid
Of what people would think

Its 3am and I just left
The life altering moment
***** anyone who says I’m too young
But I agree with them completely.
But if I’m old enough
To walk the lonely streets,
Then I’m old enough to be in love.
