Annie would pant and run around the house
Annie was quiet as a mouse

sometimes calling me herman

Annie died long ago upon the kitchen floor
Found her lying there as we opened the door

Annie had a large funeral where all the other dogs came and mourned
Annie said those who did not come should be scorned

Annies ghost still haunts the house she died in

| WELL, THIS POEM REMINDS ME OF MY CHIHUAHUA I LOST A YEAR AGO AS WE STOPPED AT A ROADSIDE TO GET A DRINK. WE DIDN'T KNOW SHE GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND WE DROVE OFF WITHOUT HER. WE NEVER FOUND SWEETPEA. WE HAD HER FOR 11 YEARS. I STILL MISS HER SO MUCH. GREAT POEM. IT TOUCHED MY HEART IN A SPECIAL WAY! |
