You Don't Know It Yet

Contributed by juliette on Wednesday, 27th November 2002 @ 02:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

When the nights get long and lonely,
Do you ever have the urge to hold me?
Does your heart break when you notice I am gone.
When the hours of the day drag on
And you come home to love alone-
Do you still think you are better off on your own?

You know that I will find a way to get by,
Before I will come to you with tears in my eyes
And I know you love me, but if this is all I get
Then you don't know it yet.

When you see me out on the town
Why do you have to come around?
Make your presence known,
Give my feeble mind room to roam-
Then you just send me on my way
After I have read your face-
And recognized that pain.

You know I have learned how to get by-
And I would never come to you
with angry tears in my eyes.
And I know you love me, you know that I love you,
This is all I will ever get,
If you don't know it yet.

Well im a southern girl and grew up on country music actually, and i think this is beautiful. i really think you could publish some country songs. I think you should write more songs as a matter of a fact. I enjoyed this one alot thanks for sharing it, if it ever comes out on CD i'll buy it!
