For What It Is

Morning after nothing
Breaking like a wave
Rivers flow
From head to toe
Uncontrollably
You filled me like a drug
Then left me high and dry
Held my heart inside your hands
You let it fall for fear
Wake up and
Smell the rainy days
The sun won't shine
Until you let her in
Absorb the scent of gasoline
Breathe it in and
Breathe it out
Fill your lungs
With soiled oxygen
Love it for what it is
