Candlelight

Contributed by calista on Sunday, 12th December 2004 @ 12:33:47 PM in AEST
Topic: Holiday Poetry

In
This
Season
Of Darkness
We all need
A little bit
Of light
And
In the season of rain, of
Cloudy skies, we cherish
The rays of sunlight that
Peek through and smile
Warming our hearts to
Set them aglow, and so
We can reach out, as one
And share the light again
The cycle of warmth does
Spread from sun to heart
And hand to hand, I ask
This season, all who take
Light, to open your palms
And give another the shine
In the month of darkness
We put lights in our houses
We let the spirit of the glow
Come to us again, so I say
Let the rain fall hard, and
The skies turn black, while
The wind howls a harmony
For no matter the storm
There will always be light
If you keep the sun in your heart, and a candle lit at night
Share the warmth, the joy, the rays, and share the days...
