twas my fault

Contributed by skraggs on Sunday, 12th December 2004 @ 09:05:02 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

i once knew a girl who always had my back
she would always try to keep me clean
by saying 'dont smoke that'

i once loved a girl so great to me
all she did was love me back
but i just couldnt see

why does love work that way
you dont know what you have
till someone takes it away

i once loved a girl who was genuine
she was so very very sweet
and her looks were divine

we were so playful and so in love
we didnt feel the need to rush sex
we were in our own place high above

i once loved a girl that was amazing
but that all changed
when i decided i needed something less routine.....

its all my fault that she loves me not
its all my fault that im not the one shes got
why did i feel the need for excitement
why did i feel i had to abandon her

i hope she is happy, wherever she is

many men and women have crossed the line, then realized how stupid it was to have done so. Too late to take it back, but hopefully you get the chance to prove yourself to be a better person.

A very honest write

Amen. Finally something I can fully relate to, unequivocally.

There was a time when I thought this would happen to me and my husband. Luckily it didn't.

Very powerful!

though it got choppy towards the end, I felt what you were saying. Just through your words, I know that you are not a bad person, just one who made a mistake. Yes, you took the lost, but it shouldn't be in vain. Count it as a life lesson. You will never let this happen again. Good, thoughtful and powerful write. I thank you for your honesty because it could only make you a better person.
