I love you, I miss you

You tell me you love me
But you show me you don’t
You tell me you miss me
And then you act like you don’t
I never once thought that hearing those phrases
Would put me in such hurtful places

I can’t even explain it
I just know that it hurts
You don’t understand
What your words do to me
It feels like a kick that brings me down to my knee

I don’t understand I gave you my heart
So why do you continue to tear it apart

It’s getting unbearable to hear those to phrases
I love you, I miss you
They almost don’t mean s*** now

If only this time you meant what you said
I wouldn’t be in such hell
I’d be touching the heavens instead

I hope you know just what you are doing
For maybe one day when you really mean it
I’ve already moved on
And then it’ll be you who will be upset
Because long before then I will have learned to forget

I know exactly how you feel here. I am being used I think (no, I actually know I am) but letting go is so hard. I don't want to be alone again. But I hate hearing the half-hearted I love you's and you are my life. It is so hard, but I know I have to move on, Hope you do too when you find the strength.

Smiles,
Rita

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
