I am so afraid.

Contributed by afraid_of_fear on Saturday, 11th December 2004 @ 06:26:23 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Where might the answers lie
To the questions of what I am, who I am?
In my head? Or on paper?
Perhaps, instead, in my heart-
But no.
I fear they lie deep within the heartfelt kisses,
The Christmas wishes,
The desires I've been feeling for so long.

When he kissed me, I was afraid it would lead to more;
And when she kissed me, all I wanted was more.
How can this be me; who I am?
Am I just denying who I am?
It's all so unexpected, so unlikely,
And yet
It is not.

And I am afraid,
So very afraid.

good poem you portray your fear and
confusion very well. I hope you start to write

don't be scared darling...if we reject who we are then what do we have left? often it is easiest to turn away from the parts of ourself we don't like, but often by doing this we will hurt all the more. and it's simple isn't it, sweet girl...deny the bits that are 'different' and embrace the parts that are all the same...but char, honey, in all the time i have known you, i know that is not who you are. i thought you weren't afraid to be different, thought you weren't afraid to be special. the sun will shine bright on you, beautiful. let your soul escape, for all to know. it is one of the most stunning i have ever seen xxx

Inner turmoil is one of the deepest things that keep us from growing. You my dear girl are growing and fighting the truth that is within you. Be who you want to be, release the fear, and let YOU, the true YOU, win the war within.
Never be ashamed of who you are! God made us all unique in our own way. Be strong, girlfriend! You will find peace in release!
Angel always....joni 0:-)
