Justice

I looked into your eyes today
and I saw a different person
No longer so confident
Your spirit is now broken,
So unhappy, so dismayed
Oh dear, what a bloody shame!
I am sorry but I have to say,
You deserve a life of pain
You broke my spirit too, you see
The way you used to torture me
Now that justice has been served
You experience much of the same.
The tables have been turned.

Each night, when you lay to sleep
know that there is no escape
know how it feels to be locked away
confined within a small space
with nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
with nothing but fear at your side.
May you awake several times
with sweat pouring from your brow
May it cause you to scream out loud
May it leave you sat up in bed
wondering if you are better off dead
I can watch you suffer now
You get what you deserve in life..
what goes around, comes around!

Now I am strong, no longer weak
I no longer tremble when we speak
My heart may be damaged,
but it is far from broken
I can now rid myself of you,
of the torture unspoken.
My life, I have now rediscovered
and the person I once was, still remains
...full of joy and free from pain
For, you see, I have regained
everything you lost along the way
I have my dignity, and my pride
I now have freedom,
and friends by my side!

This is so sad but yet so
inspirational because you stood
up to him and now have strength
that you need in your life. Thanks
for sharing this one it's very deep
and seems that it took alot of
courage to write it.

How strong we become when we have moved on from experiences that left us powerless. Written with freedom.
