ON CHRISTMAS

Contributed by emystar on Saturday, 11th December 2004 @ 04:23:31 AM in AEST
Topic: Holiday Poetry

Signatures By
The Tired Lion

Maybe there will be memories
Warming your heart,
Some that make you want to scream.
Maybe at times, tears will
Blind so you can't see.
Even if loneliness makes
The walls eat you alive.
On Christmas, think of me.

Although joybells ring on Santa's sleigh
And reindeer follow Rudolph's nose
Inside your heart no one can see,
On Christmas, think of me.

Everyday care, struggling just to get through.
Even if there's joy around
And you still want to cry,
Babe, on Christmas
Think of me.

Amen to the sentiment, and a very nice yuletide verse as well! (the music was an extra surprise in the stocking)

have a lovely Christmas,

Spike
