And I Still Hear You

I walk by you every day
And yet I don't know what to say
I smile, you nod, we go on our way
And I still hear your heartbeat...

We used to dance and sing along
We had so many favorite songs
Since that last dance, it's been too long
And I still hear the music...

I said things I should've put aside
Certain things I meant to hide
To keep you happy, I desperately tried
And I still hear your tears fall...

I have all of the memories
The best and worst of all of these
I didn't mean to be a tease
And I still hear your laughter...

I walk by you every day
And I'm figuring out what to say
You nod, I'll speak, we'll go on our way
And I'll help you hear my heartbeat...

really nice write..I know those feelings.
