who we are is not important to others as it is to us
it doesnt matter what other people think about us
do they pay our bills make us happy or be nice to us
no your care for yourself and are responsiible to yourself
it is us who matters to us not them

we need only to please ourselves and not worry about others
because if the truth be know there are no others
it is only our mind manufacturing them to bring us down
our mind is our enemy not them they have thier own ghost
it is us who matters to us not them

we have to master what we think to preserve ourselves
living a positive life is much better than negative
you learn to love yourself so you may love others
you accept who you are so you may be happy
it is us who matters to us not them

who cares what others may think it is you who matters
anyone can learn to like themselves if they try
you are the only one inside your head so go for it
then you can start being a happier person
it is us who matters to us not them

good write and good point but even the bible says our reputation is important..and for some reason, I do care what others think about me..perhaps too much..

Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.
