Growth for a Day
Harshly sweeping arid plain
Cumulous rising summer noon
Loathsome varmints ‘lax in shade
Liquid foments the terra firm
Surge hurtles ‘ward the sea
Reptiles gone from hidden den
Birds fly free a place to light
Water courses fields unseen
Ambient reflections where prism yields
Din of sky meanders in humid flight
Crimson sounds meld earth and sky
Untamed rampage ‘rodes ravine
Visage raptures serpent scenes
Feral feline clambored on cliff
Mournful sounds reverberate
The rain torrents more with non-relent
Sanguine glisten ‘pon mighty stones
Vegatation flourishes a nightly glow
Radiant sheen from dyes in the soil
Lagoon reeds at edges tall
Nourished ground foresees the fall
Remain for now short time to be
Majestic petal to no end
Prior barren now fertile ground
Autumn takes the bloom
Winter veils the soil
Spring awakens and flora abounds
And the cycle remains
