I was walking and crossing the street
Next thing I know there's a mob around someone's feet
I try to get closer but they won’t let me see
No one is budging as I push trying to catch a peek
Someone is injured and it looks like a guy
He going in convulsions it looks like the end
As people are helping they yell dial 9-1-1
I get even closer but still can’t see his face
They do CPR till the medics arrive
They’re shocking and pounding
At his already stopped heart
I stare at his shoes they look just like mine.
People start talking…
It seems that the driver was pretty messed up
The poor kid didn’t even see it coming
As the car made him flip
As I get even closer
They pronounce him dead at the scene.
I take a good glance
But it just cannot be
It’s just so wrong that I cannot belief
That the person I’m staring at
Happens to be me.
