Only One

Contributed by fastpitchqt on Friday, 10th December 2004 @ 02:44:54 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

As the sun rises, it eventually falls
The sun fades and the stars emerge
My dreams tend to drift off about you
The color of your eyes
The curves to your face
The way you hold me tight

And I can’t help but wish I still had it
I should’ve held on tighter
I should’ve told you how I felt
Maybe then this heart of mine wouldn’t ache

My heart belongs to you still
It aches with pain since you’ve been gone
I haven’t been able to let anyone else in

How can I move on when my heart still belongs to you?
In the back of my mind you are the only one I want
The only one to touch
The only one to kiss
The only one to spend my life with

But you’ve probably moved on
You’ve probably forgot all about me
About the times we have shared
The memories we made together

I just hope one day you will realize
That everyone you want and everything you need
Has been standing here in front of you all along
Maybe then you can see how love feels

But for now you are the only one I want, the only one I need
The only one to hug
Only one to kiss
Only one to hold me
Only one to make me feel safe
Only one to make me happy and make this heart stop aching

You were my first love
You are the only one I want to be with
You’re the only one!
