Love

Topic: LovePoetry

Love is nothing but illusion.
Love is shameless heart intrusion.
Love is just a hurtful game,
Played upon you by a dame.
Love will break you, tear you down.
Love is a sea in which you drown.
Love is merely untold lies;
Love is endless, pointless tries.
Love will never set you free;
Love is purely agony.
Love will hurt you, make you cry;
Love will make you want to die.
Yet love is what life is about,
And love you cannot do without.
To love, you must always be true,
For love is what will get you through.
Love will make it all worthwhile;
And, somehow, love will make you smile.
Love is never clear or plain,
For love is bliss and love is pain.

Isn't it the Greeks who have 7 words for love? Or is that Hebrew? Either way, we should have more than one in English because there are so many types of love, the most fickle of which is romantic love which you have described well here. I always enjoy your writes.

Ask anyone what love is...They will all have a different answer. This poem is so well expressed. Glad I stopped in to read it. Tiffany J. (Red_October)

all-round ,
really ,love charm us ,when you love one heart and soul ,sometime you may be feel very tired ,and you are happy to give ,you think your lover is worthwhile ,so you thought about he (she) will never make mistake ,any fault will be virtue ,so the love is great and A-OK.
love and let love are all beautiful ,all over the world ,we are lucky to have a really lover ,love make us down and up , pain and joy ,all are our need ,because everyone have different idea ,will face different life ......
of course ,happiness and pleasure are most important when falling in love ,happy oneself ,and make our lover too ,

I think this poem is very well crafted. It has a nice flow, just as love does, and it rings true to ones heart, love is kind, yet painful. You've expressed the balance quite vividly. Welcome to the site!!!
Angel always... Joni

this poem is short but its so much better then a long one you have every thing you need in a small poem that some have in a long one and i think it brings more meaning with a short poem well put and i loved it.

very good write, very explanitory of what love "is"
it may mean something good to one perosn, yet something bad to another,...
it'll never be fully good, there is always a downside to love... but it's a way of life, and everybody goes through it
