Troubled feelings corrupt my heart,
Wishing happiness staring at me,
Translucent arms hold me tight,
Lonely nights washed away.
Gift’s hang around my neck,
Stuck to my insistent flesh,
Cursing attachments cut by my hands,
Laying still and dead on the floor.
Hoping voice speaks all for you,
Paper birds flying overhead,
Black lines shaping they’re wings,
Your name printed clearly.
An angel of sorts I am it seems,
For only a few see the moon in my wings,
I always wondered if you could see them?
Your shadow shading my feathers
I’m the dark angel sleeping in the shadows,
Hoping you’ll drag me out,
Illusions cover my eyes,
As I see you reach out to me, caring.
