You and I

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

My sobtley and sobriety are momentay at best
And I where a word proff vest, strapped tightly to my chest
Photographs are open wounds to which there is no cure
Love was so beautifuly simple, or so I was sure
I am not the one who haunts your every waking moment
Nor can I be the one who doesnt make your heart hurt
I belive I can meet the end with a horrible calm
And I am so sure that my life has become a time bomb
Dont be so nieve about every little thing
Because it makes lieing to you so much easier, but with that much more pain
Leave love out of this, it has nothing to do with heart
Dont give me that same old line, please dont even start
You nailed shut your own coffin, and covered it with dirt
And I hate to be the one to tell you, words really do hurt
Its a set-up, a sham, the emotion known as love
Its a cancer, a disease a plague sent from above
Let it burn you into nothingness
Let it take away your sence of completeness
But anyway, its now winter
And as i sit here
I can watch things die
When they once were alive
Just like you and I

"My sobtley and sobriety are momentay at best

i can understand the "wear a word-proof vest" part... but "sobtley" and "momentay" escape me.

a few spelling mistakes; nevertheless, a very well-wrote poem. i know exactly the feeling you are experiencing... and ive got a say for you.

i now say ***** it to the opp sex for reasons of a shredded heart...
But the more i am alone, the more i realize that it takes a great deal of time to become content with being alone, but one small instance to make you realize you're lonely...

it is a terrible predicament. my heart wants the wonderful wonderment of love, and my brain knows it can only end in agonizing torture...

for these reasons, constantly i wish to tear my heart out, and my head off...

good on ya for stirring these emotions .

keep writing

-lane
