People they stayed inside and only venture out when they had to
It was bitter cold this year of nineteen hundred eighteen
Those who did venture out were considered fools
Young boys were fighting that war over there
A muddy trench was lost only to be taken back the next day
The whole world seemed scared
In the same trenches friend died along with foe
Screaming bleeding coughing crying and dying
The grimreaper was taking his toll
Every nation involved claimed to have won
Trenches muddy trenches full of bodies were bulldozed over
An armistest was called they wern't fooling no one
Armies just stopped fighting and went home
Coffin makers couldn't keep up business was good
Fernial homes had caskets filled and stored
Some of those dying build their own casket from wood
Everyone knew someone who was sick dying or dead
Old man mother or baby it didn't matter
They didn't know it was a pandemic they dread
Around the world people were dying by the score
Taking some twenty or thirty million that year
The flu of 1918 and not the war
Now here we are this year 2004
Chicken flu in Asia has jumped to man the death rate is at seventy percent
If it's a pandemic it's one were not ready for
Flu germs mutate so fast it hard to discover the strain
Our country and the world countries are setting here unprepared
It takes time to discover and develop a vacine
Soliders dying in Iraq
Screaming bleeding coughing and dying
What the heck

I disagree. War is a part of being human, but that does not mean that it is right or less horrifying. I cannot believe this is not more popluar. I think it is fantatic. well done |
