Blood Flower and Dark Hunter: The Nightmare

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Wednesday, 8th December 2004 @ 03:45:44 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Look,
Gaze upon the wretch chained against the wall,
See how she weeps!!
Tears of tainted innocence cascade down pallid cheeks…
Such agony,
These steal cuffs that bound me to this,
My personal Hell…
A mirror hangs before me,
Reflecting the atrocious being I have become…
Deathly pale skin, eyes deprived of all light,
Mouth twisted in an eternal frown…
My once beautiful ebony locks, brilliant and flawless,
Now damp, stringy, and faded…
Scars from the past adorn my body,
Recent mutilations re-open,
More crimson essence spills to HIS feet…
All created by HIS hand, HIS whip…
Undeserving, horrid tyrant…
A mere slave,
A calming to HIS lecherous desires…
I am his rose, HE says,
He loves me, HE whispers,
As HIS greedy hands grope me,
Violate me, taint me…
Screams build up inside,
Tears are shed from weary eye…
How much more of this will I have to take?
Why can’t I be set free?
WHY?
It lingers within my mind,
Waiting for an answer…
But even after centuries,
I still have no reply…
My mouth is sewn shut,
Steel cuffs are tightened each day,
Eyes are stapled open…
Horrid, this body,
Revolting, this image that is I…
The Master demands my attention,
Striking me with iron fists…
I dare not look in HIS eyes,
Those monstrous honey-green eyes,
Piercing, prying, tearing me…
Meek, worthless,
I cower deeper into my putrid corner,
Feeling the last occupants ribs stab into mine…
The only memory left of them; decaying bones…
The Monster is pleased with my cowardice,
Relishing HIS eternal hold on me…
I, the perpetual marionette…
I, the Soul-less…
I, the figment…
The deed is done,
HE’S had HIS way with me,
Satisfied for only a fleeting moment…
I know later on
Deep in the night,
HE will return to my putrid chambers,
And have HIS way again, and again, and again…
Until HE cannot bear the overwhelming pleasure any longer…
The Master leaves me,
With only my thoughts, my sorrow, my echoing sobs…
Imprisoned forevermore in this horrid chamber,
Dying ever so slowly inside…
I can only wish for death to dance with me,
Wrap me in his icy embrace,
And take me away…
Maybe in death, I can find true peace…

* * *

I stumble out of my dark nightmares,
Weeping tears of gentle sorrow,
Turning to my precious lover next to me…
He slumbers sweetly,
Dreaming of crimson roses and smiling moons…
Gingerly, I wrap my arms around his waist,
Being cautious so as to not wake him…
The mind returns to consciousness,
Eyelids flutter,
And infinite eyes gaze into mine…
Mon chasseur discovers my fear, my anguish,
Frozen agony melting down my flushed cheeks,
And embraces me…
“It was only a nightmare, Cheri….
Do not shed tears, my fragile flower,
I am here… I am here with you…
Remember, that…THING is dead,
Nothing more than bones…
He can‘t hurt you anymore…”

Ah, mon chevalier dans l'armure obscure,
Chasing away my apprehensions,
Replacing it with undying love…
He descends to blissful slumber once more,
Dreaming in my arms…
His warmth, so comforting,
That kiss still burning against my lips,
The ‘mark’, my lovely Luna,
Smolders my flesh,
Forever reminding me of the love I possess,
Forever banishing the nightmares of my distorted father,
And sending me through heavenly dreams…

Wow stephy, you have left me speechless....I mean, of course this is well written, of course you used amazing imagery, of course it has you style embedded into it's fabric....I could probably do my usual comment and select nearly the entire poem and tell you how much I love it, but not in this comment. I felt that this is one of your deeper writes, that is worth mentioning. All of your poety is deep, that's why I like it so much, but this one in particular left me stunned. There is so much under the surface of these lines that I cannot even begin to grasp onto. Jesus, I don't even know where to begin, and so I'll let this be the end.

Be True,
zenmind
