During the day
we’ll lay in the desert
and count the many grains of sand
that have fallen between my breasts
During the night
I will be the glittering middle class stripper
peeking from behind the curtain
to see if your watching
you will gamble my money away
on feel- good bets
and know- it- all hunches
and in between we will drink
bottles of whiskey
and grapefruit juice

I love poetry that captures a single moment.
A photograph....
and when it's over....
it leaves you....
with silence....
and it is striking....
striking....
striking.....
I loved this so much. Beautiful. It encompasses so much depth that is expressed through your chosen images. It reminds me of the "Run on Sentence" poem I wrote.
