When I took a walk in the real World

Just the other day I decided to take a walk,
A walk in the real world where everyone stays,
To see what is was like,
For a couple of days.
So I stepped of my road,
And out of my mind,
To see their reality,
To see what I would find.
But the instant I was there,
I felt that I was dead,
Because I was no longer protected,
And safe in my head.
Everything was gray,
And smelled really bad,
Everyone was to busy,
And consumed with being mad.
The young people,
Said that they were sad,
That the everyone hated them,
And that death would cure the pain they had.
All the young people,
Planned to make their end,
Squealing for attention,
Over a problem they can’t mend.
This was too much for me,
So I went to the others,
About twenty years older,
Who were the young people’s mothers.
The older parents,
Seemed to be working so hard,
That they didn’t even notice me,
And only gave me their business card.
It was no use,
So I kept on going,
To the elders and the oldest,
Who I hopped would be wise and all knowing.
But when I went to speak,
They yelled with reject,
‘Damn kid,
Stay away, or either show some respect.’
That’s it,
This place is to insane,
I think I’ll go home,
Where I’ll forever remain.
How can people live,
In a world like that?
Where everyone is so greedy,
mean and flat.
One wants respect,
While the other wants to be heard,
The other works for money,
Though none receive a word.
They’re all to busying,
Wanting for themselves,
That they don’t give to each others,
So instead they lose wealths.
I’m glad I don’t live there,
And that I live in my mind,
Because a world like that,
Should be left behind.

There is more truth to that than anyone knows. I felt like that ever since I was old enough to think. But when I sank into my mind; to leave everything behind, my father sent me to "The Happy House." (sarcasticly) Yippie!

I can see why you would want to retreat into your mind, but be careful, because although you are shielding yourself from what you do not want to see, feel, and experience, you are also isolating yourself from anyone who might potentially be able to help you, or to love you. If you spend too much time in isolation, you might miss out on the great things in life too. It's a trade off. Right now, maybe you need to retreat to your mind, but just remember that it is a trade off, and you are missing out on some things by doing that. Maybe one day you will take another walk and find something you didn't expect.
Be True,
