Love’s a b****

Contributed by pl_rage on Tuesday, 26th November 2002 @ 02:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Love can be a teasing *****
She came close to me once
I could almost feel her touch
Like a faint brush from a ghost
Haunting the empty chambers of my heart

She left me standing without a clue
Not sure of what had happened
One minute I’m fine
The next I’m feeling the pain of love
An arrow wedged deep in my heart

Love’s a strange thing
The way it can lift you
Make you happy and complete
Or bring you down
Leaving you sad and broken

Now I take the easier way
Leaving without even a try
Turning away from love
Not ever looking back
It just hurts too much

The easy way quickly turns hard
Making sense of love is difficult
But being lonely is harder still
When love’s missing
Life hardly seems worth living

I still see love sometimes
In a look or in a smile
Flaunting what I can’t have
Always at a safe distance
Always making me sad

Love can be such a b****

Thanks for sharing!
