People praise him and he accepts the given glory
They raise his selfesteem to unimaginable heights
Anticipating the day when he will finally fall down
They are plotting now to end his dream of peace
No more praises will reach his timid ears
Only shouts he hears as his dream is slipping away
Why oh why does he take the onslaught humbly
Why doesn't he fight them all away
Still only in his elementary years he feels the anger
Pressing on him through some unseen unwanted force
His parents no longer listen to his frightening dreams
All alone he faces the world, all alone he must figure out his place
Now a teen he still turns the other cheek daily
Getting beaten up everyday seems to be his routine
Never raising a fist at the God who has abandoned him
strange enough he continues to shout his name
On the streets around the age of twenty
He proclaims to the world what should rightly be
He is jailed for disturbing the peace almost weekly
Yet his following increases everyday, following the lunatic is ok
At the age of thirty three we find him confident of where he needs to be
People question him as to the validity of his actions
He responds in his humble loving way that we should try his way to see
Lethal injection takes his life, condemned as a traiter of mankind, who disowned him
