As I sit on the antiqued chair,
Slowly rocking back and forth
As my little ship sways and pitches
Over the gentle billows,
I feel the cooling touch
Of the soft, soughing breeze,
Bringing to me the scent
Of your sweet perfume.
It soothes me,
Reminds me of you,
Makes me think of the time we had,
And the time we will
When we're together again,
After this journey to you is through.
That is my sole purpose on this trip,
To make my way back to you,
For we've been apart too long,
Since your time came for you to pass.
But soon it will be mine, too,
And we will be together
Forever,
And our love will be severed
Never again.
