What's Left of Me

Contributed by evilcherry312 on Tuesday, 7th December 2004 @ 12:51:16 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

This pain you've caused is so great;
I've used all my nine lives.
A mortal wound with pain sufficient
to the searing agony of 10,000 knives.
My fragile heart--
not merely broken
shattered by you,
'twas love's true token.
...And what's left of me is dripping through your hands.

You've thrown me in with Dante's winds;
never again will I feel your embrace.
Gale forces shredding me
and now I'm gone without a trace.
You hold the power of all creation
only you can make me whole.
But eternal anguish, forever suffering
is apparently my toll.
...And what's left of me is blowing through your hands.

Release me from
this spider's gossamer shroud.
The Black Widow's venom
has not yet completely plowed
through my veins,
but has struck my heart.
My time has ended,
there's no tenth start.
...And what's left of me is being strangled by your hands.

This pain you've caused is killing me again,
and all you do is turn away.
Watching your attention be diverted as pain washes over me
breaking my body made of clay.
...And what's left of me is draining through your hands.

Your power over me is too great.
You control my very being.
Since you have left and turned away,
what's left of me is only weeping.
My darling body is fading and disintigrating,
Each piece floating like a grain of sand.
The torture of being without you
is a restrictive, crushing band.
Come back!
Come back!
I can no longer see you...
...And what's left of me has been forgotten.
