Like a page ripped out of a book
Perfect in every way
This place is my release
Trapped in the past
With a smell that signifies warmth
Love surrounds it
And the trees whisper of happiness
Reliving my childhood
And building my future
This place is more than perfect
Two years of memories
Locked within its walls
Not wanting to come out
Two years of history
In the land and in the air
Delighting in the glory that is here
I leave this place for now
But it remains with me
And my heart will walk these fields
Forever

Wow! This poem has such a connection to me it is unbelievable. The fact that you used these lines really got me
Two years of memories
Locked within it's walls
Not wanting to come out
Two years of history
In the land and in the air
Delighting in the glory that is here
Those two lines bring back so many memories of my life.. I lived two years of hell outside my home..and i never had a childhood. I loved this peom.
