Gleanaven Drive
(a reason for this madness)
She walks the lonely main road.
Her eyes clouded over.
Red eye-make up smearing.
She looks like a crack addict.
You can tell she means what she says...
When she said "I don't care anymore."
She doesn't care you see her crying.
She doesn't care what you think of her.
She doesn't care where she goes.
And she doesn't care who she becomes.
On her way to destiny,
To stand before her fate.
She walks to lonely back roads.
A pain in her shoulder.
Whipes the blood from her nose.
Hear her crying.
Feeling inadiquit as she looks at the peoples houses,
Who have things better than her.
The scent of summer fills her sences.
She see the faces of people she knows,
Through the windows of passing cars.
Brings a memory within.
And whipes the blood from her nose,
And smells the salt air.
Sits down before the big wreck of a boat.
Sees the tide far out of reach.
Feels a sudden sadness...
A sort of gladness...
A sign of madness.
Takes a pen from her bag,
And writes this last song.
Lets the wind touch her face,
Blowing her hair about,
She don't care... she cant feel it.
And with this numbing decision.
She goes deep inside.
Takes out a knife.
And puts an end to her life.
Sometimes the best suicide notes are written years before you die...
I came to take some photos,
Maybe even do some cutting,
Maybe take my life...
Maybe something more.
I walked all this way to say I'm sorry.
Goodbye mumma, I know you meant well.
But I cant see you in my nightmares.
Goodbye family, I still love you.
But this pain could kill us all.
Goodbye world, I said I'm sorry.
Goodbye pain... I'm free today.
This knife on my name.
Touching my vien.
Easing this pain.
Die here so lame.
