They were beautiful
Green pools to get lost in forever
They shone so bright
How did there light ever fall on me?
Walking with my head down, I looked up
A spark in the distance drawing closer
They rescued me from the darkness
Don't make me go back
They swallowed me whole
Bathed in their light
I've never felt so good
I was wrapped in thier warmth
But their light has faded
And their warmth has cooled
I'm searching again
To fill the hole they burned into me
I hate the cold, but it's alright
I've survived worse winters than these
Their beauty should be shared with the world
Their gift just wasn't meant to be mine
Goodbye my dear ones
Rest at ease
You have made me better
And my head is a little higher
