Soliders who care

Contributed by lovingkk05 on Monday, 6th December 2004 @ 01:29:23 PM in AEST
Topic: AmericanTragedy

Uncle Sam has called your name as he waits for your hand,
"Here we are today we need every boy and man."
But what's the point of all of this,
There are so many questions that I have on my list.
Like why do we have to send our soliders away,
Just to bring them back and place them in their grave.
Do you enjoy the tears that their families have constanly shed,
Just to send them over to bleed there crimson red.
When they come back who is the one who knows,
The obnly date they give us is the day that they have to go.
Just last week I got the bad news,
My best friend and first true love is next to go,
I won't even be able to tell bye becasue his wife will tell him no.
Everyday our pirde we do keep,
But it never lasts long before we break and weep.
It's so hard going to slepp not knowing where thy are,
Especially since their lives are in jeopardy and they are so far.
This is just the beggining on what I have to say,
Because if I were to keep writing it would go one all day.
I need to stop worrying because I need to have faith,
But how am supposed to when they take it away?
I am not very religious but for them everynight I pray,
That soon time will be up and we will be together again one day.

I agree to a certain extent. I hate the war as well. However don't weap for your loved one be happy for them. They are not forced to go it is their own choice to fight for our country. If sadly they do pass they pass with pride because they know they passed trying to save another. Now this is just my personal opinion i mean nothing bad from it. Just trying to make you see this in a diffrent perspective. I don't agree with the war at all in fact we would all be better off without it but since we do have it, and people do wish to fight it..i support them 100%. Just pray i'm not a strong believer but my prayers do usually get answered. I hope you didn't take this comment to any offense because it was not intentional.

Much love
~Alucia~
