Melissa
Wrinckles and redness were your mark
Punky spiked hair soon came to be
Ears those ears
Naked you were stark
Twenty inches or so
Ever so cute
To everyone I've told
Those ears those ears
Big enough to fold
I watched you grow
Sure as heaven and hell
Many stories I have to tell
But those ears those ears
Like wings on a glider plane--or--
A parked car with open doors
You grew in wisdom and higher
I mean taller
Those ears those ears where are they now
Pouty lips
Makeup and sweetness powder
A princess no ! a queen
Your hair straight and longer
But those ears those ears
Where are they now
Granddaughter you have grown into a beautiful being
I always love having you near
Joy mostly fills my day
Tell me true
Where are those ears
Oh ! as big as ever under your hair
Melissa I love you dearly
Grandpa

Oh, I like this. You have captured perfectly that feeling and look of a newborn precious one.
