My Best Mate

Contributed by pander on Monday, 6th December 2004 @ 07:06:11 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I miss you, of that there is no doubt
It happened so quickly
And you were out of sight
It happened one morning
No-one was coming
And all of a sudden you were gone
No explanation
No reason why
In an instant it was over
I hope you didn't feel a thing
I hope you never questioned why
There is enough heartache in this world
Without any more, that's true
I hope and pray you never felt blue
And that you never knew this was going to happen to you
He took your life away
And one day he will pay
For that dreadful thing he did to you that day
So many people die
No-one thought iit would be you
But you live on in our memories
And that will always be true

What a sad poem. I hope you're healing well. I lost my best friend over 12 years ago and I still miss her so much sometimes.
