He Comes To Me At Night

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 6th December 2004 @ 06:20:19 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

He comes to me at night,
Grips my throat so tight,
Tells me that I’ll die alone,
He’ll come back when no-one’s at home.

I am scared to close my eyes,
He creeps up hidden in many a disguise,
I can feel his breath upon my skin,
I know against the dark lord I can not win.

He threatens that if I ever tell,
That I will spend an eternity in hell,
So I keep my mouth shut as I am in fear,
He is always whispering into my ear.

My soul feels like it is being torn,
I feel like a new horror is being born,
I can feel it all around me, haunting me,
From this terror I’ll never be free.

Tonight I don’t think that I will sleep,
Because into my bed the dark lord will creep,
Fill my head with fear & darkness,
As he tells me compared to others I am worthless.

He lives to torment its how he gets his kicks,
He has almost burnt away my entire wick,
He laughs in my face, begging me to cry,
He rips away my soul & tosses it into the sky.
