Loving in Vain...

Contributed by ButchCorpuz on Monday, 6th December 2004 @ 04:13:07 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Whenever you love someone in vain
You can feel both love and pain
And your heart ignores all reason
As love binds you in confusion

Whenever you love someone in vain
Madness within you shall reign
And you cannot help wondering why
You can do nothing more but cry

You know you are not meant to be
But still, your heart refuses to see
That loving in vain is full of lies
As you drown yourself with silent cries

“Why did it have to be this way?”
You try to tell yourself each day
“Why can’t I have a single chance?”
“Am I not worth even a slight glance?”

“You don’t even know I exist”
Confessing love, you try hard to resist
Endless questions cloud your mind
Seeking answers you can never find

Even though you know you deserve more
Than what all your efforts are for
But all you can do is to wait
Until you realize that it’s too late

Because the love you gave won’t return
All your efforts have nothing to earn
All you can to is keep on dreaming
About love lost beyond redeeming

You try to make all the pain stop
Eventually, all you can do is give up
You hold on to dear life day by day
Hoping someday the pain will go away

The tragedy of love there is no known cure
Only time can heal love’s wound for sure
Even though the pain of love you have met
Life without love is just enduring death

Love makes a fool out of the wisest men
And when love shatters a heart, only then
Will the wisest among men think twice
That loving in vain has a painful price

Such a wonderful world only love can create
And irony for love to make a tragic fate
Love is capable of such wonderful dreams
And capable of such agonizing screams

Alterations in reality only love can bend
But a tormented heart, how do you mend?
Love alone can make the world turn around
But the love you have lost can never be found

What is done can never be undone
When you realize you are not the one
Meant to be with the love you chose
What happens now, no one knows

You gave up everything for love
You almost reached the skies above
In the darkness there is no light
Because you have lost love’s fight

“I have loved you for so long!”
You wonder where you went wrong
And the whole world begins to break
As you blame yourself for each mistake

In the end you drive yourself insane
As thoughts of love lost still remain
The vastness of agony and endless pain
Is the price of loving someone in vain

There are so many misconceptions about love. For instance, love is not something we just get. It's not free. In order to love we have to sacrifice parts of ourself. Another example is that....how do i say....hell, love isn't sugar coated....your heart don't skip a beat....in fact its quite the opposite. Love is something we have to strive to gain....to keep for that matter. as far as loving in vain goes, when you love, it's never worthless....even if the love's not returned you still love right? that's the important part...but anyway, i like it, of course other wise i wouldn't have spent time writing this....ah...a lil tidbit for you:
(Love is the only lonliness i know) ^_^ adieu,
Abraham
