The great flight

Topic: dedicatedpoems

Cuando el sol muere,
(When the sun dies,)
Cuando el rio deja de fluir,
(and the river stops its flow,)
y tu corazón dejó de latir,
(and your heart stops its beats,)
El dolor murió para tí
(The pain died for you)

Cual heróica victoria contra la entropía,
(Like an heroic victory against the entropy,)
asi tu vida transcurrió,
( thus your life passed,)
deseando en lo profundo de tu alma,
(wishing in the deepest of your soul,)
la muerte del dolor y la agonía
( the death of pain and agony,)

(If we could be birds and fly higher,)
de esta batalla perdida escapariamos,
(of this lost battle we would scape, )
Deseando por solo un momento,
(Wishing only for a while, )
libertad del temor y la aflicción
(freedom of the fear and affliction,)

( Exhausted travellers in the infinite passage across the time)
(Tired of the words of prophets and visionaries)
( We dreamed about stars and someday touch them)

( thus it is my friend, as you undertook your flight)
( As gull that loses itself in the immensity of the ocean)
Tu volaste hacia las estrellas
(You flew towards stars)

( And I do not doubt that i will do the same someday)

This is a heartwarming dedication to a friend.

It is beautiful and touches deeply inside.
