Darkness, Blinding blackness
Envelope all that lives
Silence, Mournful silence
Covers all noises heard
Starlight, Moonlight – the only light
Glimmer far above. so insignificant, so alone
Night air gently plays with the skin
Owl hums its sombre call
The sun, laid to rest
Its colourful funeral procession
A million weeping mourners cry
This is the hour of rest, where living ends
The earth sleeps, yet the mind stays awake
Feel so small, worthless
In the whole scheme of things pointless
Like the universe, like life
