Why am i still a virgi?

Contributed by in2thetwilightzone on Sunday, 5th December 2004 @ 03:22:10 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

vanity is killing me,
virgins giving it out like its a game,
what happened to love?
the classic teen story, its all the same,
all this pressure,
inside my head,
makes me self concious,
the paranoia bred,
i am different undressed,
another creature instead,
i sleep with myself alone,
fear grasped of the bed,
it fills me up with pain,
then burns me down with dread

Oh My God!!!!

Your virginity is one of the most precious things you have!! DO NOT give it up for just anybody and don't feel pressured by friends or boys either. Feel proud you are still a virgin, you have standards. Boys will soon tire of an easy lay and want someone a little more interesting than a girl that gives it away so easily. Be strong, and wait until someone special comes along. And don't forget about all precautions as well!!!!!!!!
Great poem, will look out for more from you, keep an eye on you Lmao!!

Ali xx

Hey....you commented on my song earlier so i will comment on your poem here...I think 13 is way to young to even consider losing your virginity....i'm 17 and trust me i dont plan to "do the dirty" untill i find true love and we are both not considered minors....Just because your friends might talk about having sex or you see it on TV does not mean you should be like them....just give it time and when you find someone special enough....you will both know when its right...although i don't know from experience cause i have bad luck with girls...lol...but anyways just give it time.....don't end up becomming a teen mother....that's not the way to go...thanks again on the comment earlier....that made my day!

good poem :) all i can say is, i wish i'd waited. yeah yeah, everyone went on and on at me about waiting, and i really couldnt have cared less...until i actually 'did it' that is...it ruined my trust in guys and the way i treated them, it made me scared of having sex ever again. so honestly, it might seem like a small thing, but wait, until you at least trust the guy, feel safe with him, have real feelings for him, and until you feel ok within yourself. and dont worry about the others, the 'cool' ones who brag about sex...half of them are lying...the other half will probably regret it or already do...good luck xx

The last thing that you want to do is let some guy come marching into your life, with one thing on his mind, and give the only thing that he desires. Don't worry you will get your chance (just wait until the right guy comes along), until then enjoy and be proud of who/what you are.
