Georgia On My Mind

Tall noble trees of pine
soil of orange clay
scent of rain
flows through the air
on this chilly Georgia day.
It has such a feel
of days long past
Southern belles, sweet mint tea
Civil war and slavery.
What stories could these
hills contain?
What tales could be spun?
Let me walk through
your mysterious mists
let the weave
be unwound.
Mystery seeps
from each darkened patch
of this ancient
southern ground.

That's a fabulous write. It made me feel like I was actually there. The wording was very graphic and vivid.

| You know I gotta tell you from someone else who lives in Georgia..I do not think it is the Mecca you make it..Not bad but Christ there are much better places in the South then here.. |
