You said you did many things
But it’s ok
You said you hated what life brings
But it’s ok
You said you loved
You said they broke your heart
Tore you up inside
And left you there to die
It’s ok
You never meant to do the things you did
All of life isn’t safe
The world doesn’t hate you
You have friends that have your back
That’s what I’m here for
Cry on my shoulder
Let me save you from yourself
From the darkness inside
Count on me
I’ll be at your side

Two things...one never wish for something unless you really want it and two never make promises that you will find it dificult to keep.... in the uncertain world...there are just too many problems to be able to stop someone else's hurts. Can you do it??? and more importantly will you do it...you will have troubles of your own and it is often in this world that you will find that people are never to be depended on and more often you can never shoulder the burdens of others....the world is too much for most of us...most of us ....so why bother. Oh well just some floating ideas triggered by your poem. |
