Kyle and Sarah

Contributed by Broken_Wingz on Sunday, 5th December 2004 @ 05:53:53 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

Kyle was only sixteen years old
when his father passed away.
He struggled so much with all his pain,
we never thought he'd get through the day.

Kyle loved his father so
that he worshiped the ground he walked.
So when Kyle's father killed himself
it was nothing less than a shock.

Kyle begged and pleaded,
threw his soul upon the ground.
He missed his father so bad
that he finally broke down.

He started to act unruly,
never cared what people said.
For the same thing that had killed his father
was let loose inside his head.

He got into a fight with mom,
and so pulled a knive out of the drawer.
He slide the knife into his skin
and asked if she wanted more.

Is this real? Do I feel this pain?
Was all he managed to scream.
His mom broke down in a fit of cries,
hoping this was a dream.

They sent him to the doctor
who prescribed poor Kyle pills.
It drained him of all energy
and took away his will.

He started to get better,
for he had found himself a friend.
And Sarah came to realize
that she had the heart to lend.

Sarah's parents were abusive
and they hit her every night.
They left poor Sarah beaten
without the strength to fight.

Well Sarah's parents didn't like this boy
and so they tore her and Kyle apart.
I don't even think they realized
that a war was about to start.

The police had warned his mother
not to let him out of sight.
Things like this lead to suicide.
She never thought that they'd be right.

Kyle and Sarah dissappeared
only a letter they left to find.
They had mutually agreed
that death would be their bind.

When pain does take it's toll,
the weak cannot survive.
And I know that if we had listened
Kyle and Sarah would be alive.
