When I met death

Contributed by in2thetwilightzone2 on Sunday, 5th December 2004 @ 02:25:59 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

what if i never get him?
what if im left behind,
a sniveling mess,
pride stripped so i cant find,
a broken heart,
a burnt out flame,
a wreck of dignity,
crashed down on to the hard surface,
with the force of the tempest storms of the seas,
pain enough to break my bones,
il drown into the sand,
and wait for death,
hell come with his sythe,
and tell me it's not over yet,
do i need to endure this pain to feel love,
do i have to pay the price?
death shakes his head,
his blackened heart filled with demise,
'i cant mess with love young maiden, i cant toutch what is not for my black heart,
i can take my blade, and bring you your final blow, but how do you know his love will never start, just because of the darkness today, dosent woe a bright tommorow, wait a little longer, dont kill yourself with sorrow"
and with that death will glide away,
into the darkness,
whilst i cry and beg him to stay,
but the man is busy,
cupids my only bet,
but i cannot toy with his arrows,
but they say if you want something enough,
maybe thats what you will get,
but how can i fill a heart with love,
if it is drained with regret?
i stand to my feet,
look up at the bleak horizon,
i start the journey with one step,
down the same trail,
depravity lane,
love rats road,
heading for the sun,
all on my own...

empty and hurt,
distraught and pained,
hes given the other girl his heart,
he dosnt even know i love him,
i am powerless and drained...

This brought tears to my eyes. I am in awe of how you express yourself with your words and the originality your poetry contains...My heart goes out to you...
