Change, the most beautiful,
My saving grace,
I found you in a future,
10,000 miles from this place
that drove me to madness, sadness,
derangement,
A scrap of great yearning, then
bitter estrangement,
And not to say the
Journey was lost;
A futile gesture, surely not!
I found a few of my selves
On the way, and had to find one
That I’d be someday,
Ineffable ends
find sighs and grins
to greet them in their coming,
and mine is no different
suffice it to say,
I bid my leave to the old world today
Change, the most beautiful,
Your Winds, may I borrow,
To bestow on myself the great gift of Tomorrow?

I missed this, and your recent submissions. I'm glad I found it now...
You are improving, I can tell.
This was more than excellent, Schroed. |

So many people get stuck in the heart break and don't see the growth. Others, like me, see it, but can seldom put it into words. Then there are those such as yourself who can do both and do it with eloquence.

I found a few of my selves
On the way, and had to find one
That I’d be someday,
I liked this - thanks to Neptunes for pointing it out in the forum.

So very true... a 'journey' is never a wasted venture. I particularly like the opening stanza here... it is very nearly enough on its own.
Nicely done!
Glad to see you posting again!

Oh, I just breathed this one in. This is one where I can say that I have been there, and I'm so glad I was. Never felt or read it expressed like this before though. More good stuff, and thank you for sharing it.
