A Single Tear

Topic:
war

A single tear
gently rolls down
the cheek of a veteran,
as he remembers his
lost friends.
The broken hearts
that still go
through the pain and loss
after so many years.
Friends, brothers, sisters,
fathers, mothers, cousins,
uncles, aunts, grandparents
sons and daughters too,
are still being remembered
til this very day.
May those war heroes
forever be remembered,
in the hearts
and the souls
of all of us.
