the tree sparkles with all the decorations
the air is beginning to feel like christmas
children sit quietly at their desk writing
writing their letters to santa ive been good
do we keep the christmas secret from the children
oh the joy that comes from the time of year
grown ups watch the children and remember
they think back to their time in life in retrospect
how long ago was it that they were children
do we keep the christmas secret from the children
as the time approaches the children become excited
will santa remember to bring what they ask for
will they be able to hear santa and his reindeer
but the biggest quest of all will they be able to see santa
do we keep the christmas secret from the children
the adults sit back and grin remembering their childhood
they would carry the secret as their parents and so forth
it would always be safe so children could always believe
and the tradition would carry on for another generation
do we keep the christmas secret from the children

The poem is interesting. I like because I can relate to it, as many others I'm sure can. It's a sweet poem to read for this time of year. |
