Saving FriendShips

Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I once called you
a good friend of mine
now we don't speak
and it tears me up inside
knowing, we're not talking,
I'm not mad at you,
I don't know if you're mad at me
but whatever, I'm sorry.
I don't want this friendship to end
and I just realized this now,
when I saw the caller ID flash
your last name....but when I picked up,
it wasn't you, and I was dissapionted
you were one of my friends,
and one of the best at that.
I wish I had the courage
to just say sorry,
but I don't know,
do you still want me in your life?
do you ever wonder, what was that
stupid reason we stopped talking?
what was it that we argued about?
....maybe it wasn't that important.
I'm sitting here,
locked onto my thoughts
trying to remember
everything we both said
trying to figure out,
the reason....
any explanation....why it's like this now.
I don't want to lose a good friend like you
I'm gonna do it,
I'm gonna talk to you...
I can't back down
or I'll regret I lost this friendship
and I'll never forgive myself
I want to save this frienship,
while there's still time
but I gotta do it now
cause I don't know
when time will run out
