Tom's Goldfish

I spoke to Tom
On the phone tonight,
His goldfish died
He was in fright.
In his tank were five exotics
And his little favourite Sam,
But this morning he passed away
Dead as a can of spam.
Sam floated to the top of the tank
When Tom went out today,
My sister Anne found Sam and froze him
When Tom came home he had to pray.
The funeral's tomorrow eve,
They even invited me.
A deep and meaningful occasion,
It's a burial at sea.
