teardrops in her coffee

Contributed by MMISS on Saturday, 4th December 2004 @ 09:18:37 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

teardrops in her coffee

she walked outside to get the mail
and then poured coffee
from the pot she just made
and as she sat down at the table
she noticed a letter addressed to jane

they were drippin in her coffee cup
as she read that dear jane letter
no matter how hard she tried
she couldn't continue til she felt better

she just had to keep on
despite how she was feelin
it took everything she had
to wipe her eyes and go on readin

the coffee cup ran over
as she filled it up with tears
remembering every i love you
what did it mean all those years

the tears she shed seemed useless
as she cried her heart into
droppin teardrops in her coffee cup
was all she seem to do

well she finished that old letter
and broke down in tears and pain
it was too much for her to handle
that letter addressed to jane

yes she cries teardrops in her coffee cup
every now and then
and if any body knows it
i sure do
because my name is jane
