I Just Wanted To Go Home

I just wanted to be back home,
When I was in care I felt alone,
There were others living with me,
But I was in a place I didn’t want to be.
I used to speak to my mum,
Over the phone but it was no fun,
I wanted to leave to run away,
Because in care I didn’t want to stay.
I had home visits it caused me pain,
I didn’t think I’d ever come home again,
I remember begging & pleading,
For my mum to give me back what I was needing.
My home the place I had loved for years,
I remember crying so many tears,
It felt like a lifetime when I was in care,
I hated my parents for putting me there.
I thought they didn’t love me anymore,
I thought on me they had shut their door,
I just wanted to go back to my home,
In care I spent every day feeling alone.

wow that piece of writing is touching. parents will never stop loving,sumtimes they just dont know whats best for you.

Great write pixie,
You sound like a very loving person by reading your poetry so not all has turned out bad in the end. You never need to feel alone anymore, you have a lot of friends on here!!
