Winter Wonder Lace

Shimmering pearls – lace.
Quilt of winter invitation.
Spiders of Jack Frost busily working
Knitting webs.
Staggering among
Gusts of wind – cold like snowball mesh.
Crowning.
Dazzling – a thousand diamonds,
Stars that have overgrown
And ripened.
Chantilly spinning.
Pulsing.
Masking a thicket of weald.
Yet, glory of ample beauty!
Is there even a prettier face?
Than Manchester in the country
Bathing in
Winter Wonder Lace.
